baby two is two and a half months old

Baby number two is a game changer.  For sure.  

This afternoon both kids are asleep at the same time.  This usually happens but I have been so tired that I take a nap then too.  This means nothing gets done around the house.  My only two hours to catch up and all I want to do is catch some Zzzz's!  But today I woke up after an hour feeling pretty good and both babes are still snoozing.  So instead of cleaning, laundry, or going through my huge stack of mail, I'll blog ;)

Sam is two.5 months old!!  I can't believe how fast the time has gone.  Everyone told me it flies by even faster with second and third children, they are right!  

Sam - you are absolutely precious.  I am so obsessed with you.  You sleep great, eat great, and just go with the flow.  I can take you everywhere and you just chill or sleep.  I can't believe how easy you are! Now to get you sleeping through the night....does that ever really happen in the first year???  Your hair is dark and crazy.  I love it.  It makes me laugh at 3am when I get you for a night snack.  God definitely knew what he was doing when he gave moms the love they have for their children.  I can't seem to put you down! 

Sister is slowly coming around to sharing my time.  It has been a long road but I see every day more and more independence on her part.  I am really proud of her!  When she wakes up in the morning the first thing she asks for is Daddy (always) and the second now is baby Sam.  This melts my heart.  She loves her baby brother so much!  I look forward to the day when the kids play together and I can hear their giggles.  

Next week Marme will have her stem cell transplant.  I can't help but think about her and this process all day long, every day.  She is constantly on my heart and in my prayers.  God has his hands on her and I have all the hope He can give that everything will go great and the Spring will be new health and energy!  We are all planning on taking a trip to Breckenridge in July.  Can we just skip ahead to then?  What a celebratory trip that will be?! 

It's a new year!  And there's lots to look forward to.
