go frogs 2013!

Football season is here.  And really in full force.  I am feeling better about it this year too!  I think I might actually be starting to enjoy the games.  I guess the more you watch something the more you learn and I am starting to really understand it ;)  So that helps!

Last weekend was our first game at Cowboy Stadium.  It was a blast!  Zach got us awesome seats with Keeton and Tyler and we had so much fun!  The Frogs played the LSU Tigers, they were good.  We lost.  But it was still fun and I think we played pretty good - just if we could stop with the silly errors.  Those killed us, or at least that's what I overheard on our way back home as the guys talked about each play of the game.  All guys are funny to listen to when they are talking about sports, but Zach and Tyler are hilarious.  Keeton and I just laugh and laugh at them.  They both have such a strong passion for the sport and they totally feed off one another.  It's a good thing they have each other ;)

Keeton and I of course had a wonderful time catching up and cheering on the Frogs.  We also saw my sister and her husband, Erin and Dan, and my brother in law, Matt.  It has been fun having Erin and Dan and their girls at the games.  Even though they aren't Horned Frogs, they cheer for purple.  And they can now too that the Aggies are in the SEC.  ;)  No competition there!

Zach and I bought season tickets again this year, but now that the season is here we are looking at our Fall schedule and it looks like we are going to only be able to make about three games.  It's nuts how fast your weekends fill up.  One weekend we are going to Midland, another we are taking a trip just us two (can't wait!), and both of those weekends are home games, so when you miss those you only have a couple left.  We will cheer them on when we can and every weekend on TV!  Hopefully we have a great season - last year was kinda a flop.  We have our fingers crossed for a lot more W's!!!

LOVE this girl!

First game - so much fun!

bags are packed

Eeek I can't believe that I am  almost 37 weeks!  It is crazy to me that this  little muffin is going to be here before we know it :)  She is moving around more than ever, which is crazy because she is so big!  Zach and I laugh and stare at my tummy in awe as we watch it move up and down with her movements.  Besides getting excited I have been spending my days napping and getting all of the last minute details complete.

The past month I have had a really hard time sleeping at night.  I just can't seem to get comfortable.  I tried skipping my daily nap to see if that would help me conk out at night, but it just makes me more tired the next day, ha!  I feel so sorry for Zach, I'm sure I am keeping him up all night with my tossing and turning.  The good thing is that every Mom says that they went through the same thing, perhaps it's Gods way of getting me used to little sleep and being up for the many night feedings to come.

Last week I went to Gap body and got some cute lounge clothes to wear after delivery.  Hopefully it will help me to feel more comfortable when we get home and I am between sizes.  I have packed Hannah's bag and my bag.  I keep telling Zach to pack up some things and he swears all he'll need is some shorts and a t-shirt. Haha boys are so different, I swear I thought about what to pack for weeks!  I guess I should throw some of his things in our bag too ;)

Two weeks ago my sweet husband warned me that football season was about to be in full force.  How sweet of him!  The good thing about this Fall is that I will have a lot to do with little Hannah!  I'm sure I won't mind sitting in front of the TV watching game after game, or more like sleeping through game after game, ha!  But we made it to the first home game.  It was awesome!  The new stadium looks amazing and all the Frog fans were out to celebrate.  I made it the whole day, it was great because we had a "slightly cooler" front come in that morning and it was only about 88 degrees out!  I'll take it!  Sunday I was pretty tired, but well worth it!  Go Frogs!

Update from my last doctors appointment...now that we are 24 days away from due date, I am seeing my doctor every week.  It is nice to know that we will get to see her more often and is definitely calming to know how things are coming along.  At this point everything is looking good and progressing right along.  Doctor says that Hannah is still pretty small and she doesn't suspect her to be a "big" baby.   I am fine with that as long as she is a healthy girl :)  But she did gain one pound this past week!!

34 weeks

35 weeks and starting to look tired!

36 weeks and very tired!

I feel it is officially Fall around here, Whole Foods has out their pumpkins...what?! I think we will have to wait to bit longer until we purchase those, but still, Happy Fall!

purple

It's here! Football season is back, well at least it is this Friday for our TCU Horned Frogs! Last year around this time I recall complaining in a post about football.

You see, football=boy heaven in my household.

This year I am going to create my own equation. Football=new cute purple must haves added to my closet :) I'm just hoping that it cools off a bit so we can support our purple Fall looks sooner than later. What ever happened to cuddling up in a blanket and getting hot coco while you cheered on your home team? I am also really looking forward to seeing familiar faces at the tailgates. The fact that TCU is AWESOME helps too! There are some super cute finds out there...just to name a few.

Tory Burch Robinson Satchel in Bordeaux

Nordstroms Pleated Hem Knit Tank Dress

J.Crew Stretch Vintage Bootcut Cord in Smoky Orchid

Anthropologie Geo Feather Blouse

Lincoln Park at Dark by OPI

Anthropologie Hovering Agate Necklace

Hunter Turks

Intermix Cropped Slim Trouser
Great crisp white pieces are great "to go withs" for the purple.

I can honestly say, I am so excited for this seasons festivities! It's going to be a great year for those Frogies!

GO FROGS! BEAT BAYLOR!

hello november!

See ya later October, Hello November!

October flew bye! Here is a cute pic of my little nephew on Halloween night. He was a cowboy, notice his "shadow" after a couple days of not shaving. Adorable!
Kids add so much joy to the holidays!

On a different note, lately, the only color I have been wearing is purple. I couldn't be more proud to support this color either! Our Frogs are on fire and everyone knows it! This picture was from TCU Homecoming weekend, where we enjoyed a fun filled weekend with best buds.

Last week I went to a leadership conference for work. I learned a lot of cool stuff and felt energized after the two days of training. I knew it was going to be a good couple of days after the very first speaker started like this:

Speaker Man - "Ya'll have a great football team around here!"
Audience - "No we don't! The Cowboys stink!"
Speaker Man - "I'm talking about those TCU Horned Frogs! Any Frogs in the audience?"
ME and only me - "GO FROGS!" as I wave my frog in the air!

It was a pretty cool moment and I was super excited that I could represent at the conference. Plus it added a little excitement to the morning :)

This weekend Zach's Mom was in town for some work. We thought it was just going to be her here until his Dad surprised us and flew in from Midland on Friday night. We were so glad to see him and we celebrated by going out to a yummy dinner at Trulucks. One of our favs! They are known for their delicious crab and lobster, it was DELISH! On Saturday we cheered on the Frogs while they dominated the Utah Utes.

The girls cheering on the froggies!

And the boys, pumped up about the win!

Even though we were pretty busy the whole weekend, we found plenty of time for these...haha! Pretty ridiculous!

I took this picture this morning, right before we headed out the door for Church. Zach's parents love going to Christ the King Catholic Church when they are here. This is the Church Zach and I were married in, we love it as well!

Happy November! and Go Frogs!

new name and labor day

New name, same blog. I had to close down my blog for a bit, but I have been missing it. So, this weekend I decided I would try it again. Hopefully this time things will work out :)

This past weekend was wonderful! After school starting back up, this three day weekend was much needed. We spent the entire weekend with friends and family. We started it off with a wonderful TCU football game at the Cowboy's stadium. It was so amazing. The architecture was unreal! I now have a new appreciation for architects! Plus TCU won, GO FROGS! Then we headed to the lake for a relaxing Labor Day. We spent two whole days by the pool soaking up the sun, eating Marme's delicious meals, and chatting about all the wonderful things this Fall will bring! Zach and I will have two new nieces and one new nephew this Fall. We are so excited to hug and kiss these little babies, they can't get here quick enough!

I want to leave you with this bible verse, it helps me remember that Jesus loves us and will give us a time to rest and enjoy all that we work for and all that he has given us. Also, that his love is peaceful and most full filling.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-29
